Amazing Paralell
Mood:  a-ok

It is simply amazing to me how much the Christian life paralells being a runner. As a runner, if I want to be successful, I have to put the time and effort into training to see the results. The same could be said for being a Christian.

As a Christian, I really need to be focused on my relationship with Jesus Christ. I have to work at it like any good relationship through prayer and studying the bible. I also need to work on being obedient to what Christ has called me to do in my life.

There is a reference for this in the bible of course. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 talks about running the race in a way that is glorifying to God. I think that this is the most important thing we can do as Christians.

In every race we run into difficult spots, but we always continue on. I think this paralells our Christian walk also. Any time we hit a rough spot, we should just fight on and trust God.

Have a great week.

First Blog
Mood:  a-ok

Well, this is my first attempt at writing a blog. It seems pretty easy, but some of you more computer saavy people can tell just from looking at my site that I am new at all of this. Wish me luck.

I just wanted to say thanks for visiting my site. As you know from reading it, it is a site that is dedicated to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I love running and just wanted to find a way to share the good news of Jesus to other runners who might not have heard.

We all have to make so many important decisions during our lifetime. From getting married to having kids to buying a house, it seems like the decisions get tougher the older we get. We are experiencing that right now with a move on the horizon and kids starting school. But I know for sure that the only decision that really matters is the decision to accept Christ as my personal Savior and Lord. This is the only decision that I will make that has eternal implications.

Thanks again for visiting the site. I welcome any thoughts or questions about anything. Bye for now.
