The things I just mentioned on the previous page are the reason for the site. I wanted
to tell that story to others and let people know about this salvation provided by Jesus Christ. The next question might
be, how did I get to the point where I knew that I needed to be saved? What did I need saving from?
The first thing I had to understand was that I was a sinner. There are some verses
in the bible that proved this. Romans 3:10, "there are none righteous, no not one." Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God."
I then had to recognize that Jesus is God's only Son, whom God sent to the earth to
die on the cross for the sin that we as humans had committed and that He rose again 3 days later. Romans 5:6, "When
we were utterly helpless, Christ died at just the right time for us sinners."I had to see the importance of the cross
and the reason why Christ had to die. He took my place when He died on that cross. He was punished for my sins so that
I could live.
Finally, I had to pray for God's forgiveness for my sins and ask Jesus to come into
my heart. At that moment a transaction was made for eternity. On that day I was saved, not because of any good deed or
action that I did, but saved by God's grace alone.
